Friday afternoon for all of South Florida from 10 am EST until 6
PM EST for 4 or more hours of below 35 percent relative humidities...
The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Fire Weather
Watch... which is in effect from Friday morning through Friday
afternoon.
Much drier air will work into South Florida tonight into Friday
which will allow for the dew points to fall into the 30s.
Temperatures will also warm up to around 70 over all of South
Florida. This will allow for the relative humidities to fall below
35 percent for 4 hours or more late Friday morning into Friday
afternoon. Therefore... a Fire Weather Watch has been issued for
all of South Florida from 10 am EST until 6 PM EST.
The keetch Byram drought index is also running high over the
northern portion of the South Florida. In Glades County it is running
between 550 and 600... and in Hendry and Palm Beach counties it is
running around 500.
